Top 5 Theme Ideas for Your Prom Venue

One thing keeps high school students going through the last year is Promenade! Promenade more commonly known as “Prom” is a themed dancing party for high school students that marks a joyful end to their high school. Prom event planning companies are hired to organize the event. Final year students invest time, effort and money to look their best on prom. The seniors are given titles like Prom King and Prom Queen. The popular seniors are included in the Court of Prom to honor their participation in school activities and clubs. Here are some theme ideas for your prom venue!

Masquerade Madness?

The first thing that comes to our minds when we hear the words “themed party” is masquerade party. This theme involves the “PROMers” wearing fancy, decorative masks to cover their faces. The boys wear suits while the girls wear magical royal gowns. The decorations involve ornate chandeliers and candle stands. Masquerade parties are pictured similar to a royal ball.

Hollywood

Hollywood can be an easy to organize and extremely entertaining theme for prom. There is no hard and fast rule for the students to dress up in a certain way. Girls can wear short dresses to suits to maxis to gowns! Guys can wear suits just like they wear on any other theme party! Creating a Hollywood theme is relatively easier! For prom event organisers erecting a golden statue and sprinkling some paparazzi would do most of it! A wall with a back drop for photography and red carpet on the entrance significantly makes the venue more “showbiz”.

Neon Lights

If you want a crazy dance party and want to be on the floor for most part of the prom then Neon Lights theme is what you’re looking for! Prom organizers create a dark room and embellish it with brightly colored neon lights. It may resemble the look of a disco party. Multicolored balloons can be useful for the decoration. The attire is casual that lets you rock the dance floor!

Happily Ever After

This one can be very amusing. It can also be analogous to a cos-play where students can dress up like Disney Princes and Princesses and wear crowns and hennins. The party décor can have a palace theme or that of an enchanted forest. A corner on the venue can be occupied by the tower that Rapunzel was locked into. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for a couple to dress like Shrek and Fiona! The attire for this theme can be very easy to create as the costumes for the famous happily ever after stories’ characters are easily available.

The Great Gatsby

This theme can have a hall studded with highly decorative golden ornaments. There can be a fountain and swimming pool as emblems of the Gatsby. The prom-ers can dress up is masks, feathers, fur and diamonds (fake obviously). Prom event planning companies can also place one of those fancy cars that Leonardo drove in the movie, somewhere in the venue for photography!
